The cheap version of this work isn't really cheap — it's deferred. Here's what we don't cut.

    4-inch slab minimum (6 inches under hot tubs)

How a job runs

From first call to clean exit.

Every project follows the same arc. The detail changes, the discipline doesn't.

    Layout

    Stake the perimeter, confirm grade and pitch.

  2. 02

    Dig

    Excavate to 8 inches, hand-trim around obstacles.

  3. 03

    Base

    Granular A in two lifts, compacted between each.

  4. 04

    Pour

    Concrete delivered, screeded, floated, hand-edged.

  5. 05

    Finish

    Broom, stamp, or expose — your call.

  6. 06

    Joint & seal

    Cut joints day 1. Seal at 14–28 days.

FAQ

Common questions

  • Six inches of compacted granular A, six inches of 32 MPa concrete with rebar on chairs. We grade it slightly oversized so the tub sits flush with the patio.

  • Both can last 25+ years installed properly. Stamped is a single slab (no weed seams) but cracks show. Interlock flexes with the ground and lets you replace one stone if something stains.

  • Concrete: no, unless a joint opens up. Interlock: only if poly sand isn't maintained. We seal both at install.
